Course Structure
Novice Operator
Duration 2 Days
For operators who have never previously operated a lorry mounted crane.
Experienced Operator
Duration 1 Day
For operators who have experience of a lorry mounted crane, but have no formal
certification or their certification is over 5 years old.
Refresher
Duration 1 Day
For experienced operators only, who’s certificate has expired between 3 to 5 years
old.

Lorry loader mounted crane training is available at your site using your equipment
Course Aim
Candidates will develop the theoretical and practical knowledge to safely operate a lorry mounted crane. Qualifying them in lorry operations, they can then acquire their lorry loader certification.

LOLER 1998 (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998)
Pre-use checks on the Lorry Loader and Carrier
Attachments, restraints and load security
Factors affecting stability and mobility
Motive controls and hydraulic controls
Operating in open and confined areas.
On completion of the lorry loader training course, the trainee will be able to
Name all the main components of the truck
Carry out a Pre-shift inspection check & know when and how to report
Operate the Lorry Loader within the safety limits defined by the manufacturer
Load & unload from various heights with various loads safely
Correctly load a bucket, transport and tip the load in a
Lorry/Hopper/Stockpile
Accrediting Body ITSSAR/AITT
This course is for operators with little or no previous experience using a Lorry Mounted Loader course complies with the standards set in accordance with the HSE Code of Practice. This also enables successful operators to use any Lorry Mounted Loader (with authorisation) anywhere in the UK.
This course is designed for the Operator who has had extensive practical experience, (longer than 12 months) but has never been formally trained or held certification.
Keep your skills up to date. To refresh job safety knowledge, and give corrective remedial and tests to truck operators who though previously trained and certificated may require a short safety refresher course, to maintain the correct standards of operation at an acceptable level.
